The terms and conditions governing your use of TheMotoManual
2026/09/24
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TheMotoManual, a website that lets you ask questions about motorcycle manuals and receive AI-generated answers. TheMotoManual is operated by an individual, not a company. By accessing or using TheMotoManual, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
You select a motorcycle model, and TheMotoManual answers your questions using the official manuals we have ingested for that model — owner's manuals and, where we have them, service (workshop) manuals. Every answer is grounded in the manual pages we retrieve for your question and cites the page numbers (and, where relevant, figure regions) it drew from. If nothing in the ingested manual supports an answer, TheMotoManual says so rather than guessing.
Answers are generated by an AI model and may be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong, even when a page citation is shown. The official manufacturer manual always takes precedence over anything TheMotoManual tells you. Do not rely on TheMotoManual for safety-critical decisions. Any maintenance, repair, or riding decision you make based on an answer is at your own risk — verify against the manufacturer's manual or a qualified technician before acting, especially for brakes, fuel systems, electrical work, or anything affecting rider safety.
Creating and using a free account costs nothing. Paid plans and voice-credit packs have been available for purchase since September 22, 2026.
A free account can ask questions answered from owner's manuals, includes a lifetime allowance of 5 questions answered from service manuals, is limited to 30 text questions per calendar month, and can have 1 motorcycle active in its garage. Voice input and spoken answers require a paid plan or a voice-credit pack.
Separately, and for every account on every plan, a daily anti-abuse limit caps how many questions can be asked in a single day; typed and spoken questions share that same daily limit. The limit is a service setting and may be adjusted at any time as we tune the service.
Before you can ask questions about a motorcycle, you must add it to your garage — every question is answered for the vehicle it is asked about. How many motorcycles can be active in your garage depends on your plan: 1 on Free, 1 on Plus, 3 on Pro, and 10 on Max. Motorcycles beyond that number stay in your garage but cannot be asked about until a slot frees up.
You can change which motorcycles occupy your garage once per calendar month (UTC); removing a vehicle counts as that change. If your garage already holds more motorcycles than your plan allows — for example after a downgrade — removing one is treated as choosing which to keep and does not use up your monthly change.
We offer paid plans and one-time purchases; the terms in this section apply to them.
Plans and packs. Paid subscriptions (Plus, Pro and Max) are billed monthly or yearly and unlock service-manual answers, voice features, a monthly allowance of voice credits and — on Pro and Max — more garage slots. One-time voice-credit packs (K1, K2 and K3) may be bought instead of, or in addition to, a subscription; pack credits are valid for 180 days from purchase, and for those same 180 days each pack also gives your account the access of its matching plan (Plus for K1, Pro for K2, Max for K3).
Payment processing. Payments are processed by Waffo Pancake, which acts as merchant of record for those transactions. Prices are shown and charged in US dollars; any applicable sales tax or VAT is determined and remitted by Waffo. Card details are entered on Waffo's systems and never reach our servers.
Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Cancelling stops future renewals; your paid access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Changing plans. Plan changes are completed through Waffo's confirmation flow. An upgrade takes effect immediately, with the price difference prorated against the time remaining in your current period and your voice-credit allowance topped up to the new plan's level; a downgrade takes effect at the end of the current period.
Refunds. As a rule, purchases of digital products are non-refundable. To request a refund or raise a billing question, email support@themotomanual.com; we usually reply within 3 business days. A refund revokes the access that the refunded payment granted; if that payment was for a voice-credit pack or a plan change, the credits it granted that you have not yet used are removed as well. The monthly credits included with a subscription are not removed by a refund.
Voice credits. Voice credits are consumed per voice request: asking a question by voice uses one credit and also covers the spoken answer for that exchange, while playing an answer aloud on its own uses one credit. Credits included with a subscription expire 30 days after they are granted and do not carry over; credits from a one-time pack expire 180 days after purchase. Expired credits have no cash value.
Creating an account requires a valid email address. You must provide accurate information and are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
TheMotoManual is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. As an individually operated project, it may change, be limited, or be discontinued without advance notice.
Motorcycle manuals ingested into TheMotoManual remain the property of their respective manufacturers; we do not claim ownership of manual content and reproduce excerpts only to answer your questions. The TheMotoManual website itself — its design, code, and original text — is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to TheMotoManual at any time, particularly in cases of abuse or violation of these Terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TheMotoManual and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — including damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated answers.
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Changes take effect when posted on this page; the date above reflects the most recent revision.
